Former CEO of Spartak Sergei Shavlo noted that the defender Leon Klassen going well this season.
On Friday, Spartak beat Sochi 2-0 in the third round of the RPL Winter Cup Winline and won the tournament ahead of schedule. The Red-Whites have already beaten Rostov (0-0, 2-1 in pen) and Krasnodar (4-0). In the FONBET Cup of Russia, Spartak will play their first home game against Lokomotiv on February 27.
– I just don’t really want to give Klassen anywhere. If there is a serious option, they will give it. Leon shows himself well in Spartak. The team should not be left with nothing, as other players may have an injury or other circumstances. There aren’t many lefties on the team. I think Klassen should not be loaned out. And where do I send it now? Europe is closed to Russian players, – quotes Shavlo “RB Sport”.
Klassen, 22, has played 12 games for Spartak this season across all tournaments where he hasn’t scored.
In the final Winline game of the RPL Winter Cup, Rostov will face Krasnodar on February 11 at 8:00 p.m. (Moscow time). Watch the live broadcast with commentary by Konstantin Genich and Dmitry Shnyakin on the and MATCH PREMIER channels, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
