Guardiola says he won’t leave Manchester City under threat of Premier League expulsion

The head coach “Manchester City” Josep Guardiola said he had no intention of leaving defending champions England after the club were accused of numerous financial rule breaches by the Premier League.

The club could face points confiscation or even expulsion from the English top flight if found guilty by an independent panel of alleged wrongdoing between 2009/10 and 2017/18.

“My first thought is that we have already been accused. Now the same has happened to UEFA. Then the club proved their innocence (according to UEFA charges in 2020).

I will not leave this place. I can assure you that more than ever, I want to stay. Sometimes I have doubts because seven or eight years is a long time, but now I don’t want to move on. People say, “They lied to you.” They didn’t lie to me. Look what happened in the case of UEFA. Now the same case. Why shouldn’t I trust my people and trust other leaders? Guardiola said.
