Denis Glushakov’s first top club was Lokomotiv Moscow. The footballer ended up there in 2005. The midfielder started playing for the main team in 2008. In his first season, he scored four goals. In 2009, Glushakov scored three goals, and in 2010 – one. In the 2011/2012 season, Denis Glushakov made his debut in European competition with Lokomotiv, notably in the Europa League. The footballer himself has scored 11 goals in the Russian league and three goals in the UEFA Europa League. The following season was less productive – a goal in the Russian championship.
Denis Glushakov was called up to the Russian national team even under Dick Advocaat in 2011. In his first game, the national team drew 1-1 with Qatar. In 2019, Denis Glushakov moved to Akhmat and spent a season there, scoring four goals in the Russian Championship and two in the Cup. The midfielder spent the next two and a half seasons at Khimki.
