PGMOL, the body responsible for refereeing in the Premier League, admitted a scoring error in the Brentford Premier League game on Saturday and “Arsenal” . The match ended in a draw with the score of 1:1.
As noted, in the episode with a goal against the London club, the offside probability was not properly checked by VAR officials. VAR officials missed the point that one of their players was offside when Brentford scored and that player was actively involved in the attack.
“Can confirm that Arsenal have been contacted to acknowledge and explain material VAR errors,” PGMOL said in a statement.
Arsenal top the Premier League table.
