Mayweather and ex-UFC champion Aldo plan to have a boxing fight

The fight is scheduled for this year.

Former world champion in five divisions Floyd Mayweather will hold a boxing match this year with the former UFC featherweight champion Brazilian Jose Aldo.

“His team has already agreed to the fight, mine too. Right now we’re just waiting for the promoters to make a deal with each other. Maybe for Mayweather it will be an exhibition fight, but for me it’s not. As always, there will be blows to the face, and Floyd knows this, ”Aldo said.

Jose Aldo retired from MMA last year and moved to boxing. On February 10, he defeated Emmanuel Zambrano on points in his boxing debut. On April 1, Aldo is scheduled to fight Jeremy Stephen.

On February 25 in London, Mayweather will hold an exhibition fight with professional MMA fighter Aaron Chalmers. This will be Mayweather’s first fight in the UK. Previously, Floyd held exhibition fights in Miami, Dubai and Japan.

Mayweather has three exhibition fights in 2022. Floyd knocked out Japanese MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura, defeated YouTube blogger Deji Olatunji ahead of schedule and fought all eight rounds with his former sparring partner Don Moore.
