According to TaToTake, President of the UAF Andrey Pavelko discussed with Viktor Skripnik the possibility of appointing him head coach of the Ukrainian national team.

Skripnik, 53, is now the head of Vorskla. After the first round, the Poltava club is 9th in the Ukrainian championship.

At the moment, the Ukrainian national team does not have a head coach. With the previous mentor Alexander Petrakov, the UAF did not renew the contract. In January, Petrakov led the Armenian national team.

The main contender for the position is Al-Ain coach Sergey Rebrov. If the Ukrainian specialist agrees with the club’s management, he will be able to join the team in March.

The Ukrainian national team will play in Group C against Italy, England, North Macedonia and Malta in the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament. All fights of the blue-yellows will be broadcast on ICTV channel as part of the all-Ukrainian telethon “United News”.

The first official match for the Ukrainian national team will be the match against England. The meeting will take place at Wembley on March 26, all tickets for the match have already been sold. On March 23, the Blue-Yellows will face Brentford in a test match.
