Qatari investors ready to buy Manchester United for more than 5.6 billion euros – media

Qatari investors prepare initial offer to buy English football clubManchester United amounting to 5 billion pounds (about 5.6 billion euros), according to Bloomberg.

According to the publication, a consortium including former Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani is finalizing a bid to acquire the English Premier League club from the Glazer family.

Previous media reported that American businessman Elon Musk was interested in acquiring Manchester United for 5 billion euros.

The Glazers have owned Manchester United since 2005. In the current Premier League, the team sits third in the standings after 23 innings.

Manchester United is one of England’s most successful clubs, 20 times national champion, 12 times FA Cup winner, three-time European Champion Clubs’ Cup/Champions League winner.
