The Italian was quick to return to work with the Spurs
Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte will miss the match teams in the english league West Ham February 19th.
Conte stayed in Italy after the 1/8 final match of the Champions League with Milan (0:1). There, he will undergo additional recovery after surgery to remove his gallbladder.
“I feel a great responsibility towards the club, the players, the staff and the fans, so I hurried with my return. Unfortunately, I underestimated the current situation, which turned out to be very serious and unexpected. My body has suffered, and now I am forced to take a break again for the sake of my full recovery. Whoever knows me understands how painful it was for me to make this decision, but it was necessary, ”the coach wrote on his Instagram page.
The duties of the head coach of the Spurs will temporarily be performed by Conte’s assistant – Christian Stellini.
Recall that on February 9, Conte returned to work with the London team after an operation to remove the gallbladder.
Tottenham are 5th in the Premier League table.
