– You landed in Tosno. The team showed brilliant football, won the Russian Cup. Why didn’t it last long enough?
– The first year, the club had everything. We went to the RPL, entrenched. For the first six months, everything went well, but then problems with wages began, they did not pay bonuses. And “Tosno” fell, although we had enough for the Russian Cup.
– When did Tosno have financial difficulties? They gave you money?
– They promised to pay everyone, but in the end we did not receive, if I am not mistaken, three or four salaries, as well as bonuses for the whole year. Many people told us that Tosno would stay in the RPL, everything would be fine, but two months later we learned that the club had gone bankrupt. This is how Tosno’s story ended.
– The Russian Cup gave the right to participate in European competitions, but Tosno had ceased to exist at that time. Was it a pity that you failed to play in the Europa League?
– They won the Cup, but almost immediately disappeared from the football arena. We didn’t even manage to play at least some of the first matches in European competition, although we definitely deserved them. If I’m not mistaken, we were expecting either the final qualifying round or the group stage of the Europa League straight away. It was very disappointing that we were simply deprived of such an opportunity. Remember the same Ufa that happened to Rangers. Such memories will remain of such matches.
– Why did Tosno end his season in RPL, because then there were already big difficulties with the money?
“The first six months there were no difficulties, but in the second part of the season there were difficulties in the RPL, but we ourselves decided that the season should be played until the end,” Dugalich quotes Metaratings.ru.
