Ruslan Rotan also decided on the coaching staff that will help him
Midfielder of Cracovia Evgeny Konoplyanka will be included in the expanded list national team of Ukraine for the first qualifying match for Euro 2024 with England, journalist Igor Burbas reports.
It is reported that the list is formed by the head coach of Alexandria Ruslan Rotan. The specialist also decided on the coaching staff for the match with England – Sergey Kravchenko, Evgeny Gres and Vitaly Reva will help him.
It is also reported that the Ukrainian national team will not play a test match before the duel with the British. The team will hold a “two-sided” game with Brentford at its club base. Recall that the sparring with the English club is scheduled for March 23, the former head coach of the Blue-and-Yellows Alexander Petrakov agreed on the duel.
At the moment, the Ukrainian national team does not have a head coach. With the previous mentor Alexander Petrakov, the UAF did not renew the contract. In January, Petrakov led the Armenian national team.
Al-Ain coach Sergei Rebrov is considered the main contender for the position. If the Ukrainian specialist agrees with the club’s management, he will be able to join the team in March.
Also, there was information that Ruslan Rotan will prepare the team for the first qualifying match for Euro 2024. The specialist and his coaching staff have begun the procedure for obtaining British visas.
The Ukrainian national team will play in Group C against Italy, England, North Macedonia and Malta in the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament. All matches of the blue-yellows will be broadcast on ICTV channel as part of the all-Ukrainian telethon “United News”.
The first official match for the Ukrainian national team will be the match against England. The meeting will take place at Wembley on March 26, all tickets for the match have already been sold.
