The Estonian club took the last place in the friendly tournament
Veres won the Estonian Levadia in the third round of the friendly tournament Winter Cup-2023.
In the middle of the first half, Mikhail Shestakov put Veres ahead. Levadia quickly bounced back with the efforts of Felipe Felicio, who converted a penalty.
At the 38th minute, Valery Kucherov returned the advantage to the Ukrainian team. The midfielder was accurate from the penalty spot.
After the break, Vitaliy Dakhnovskiy scored Veres’ third goal in the match. Levadia could not recoup. Note that the Estonian team played out the meeting in the minority – Til Mavretic received a direct red card.
Veres got his first victory at the Winter Cup-2023. Earlier, the team of Yuriy Wirth lost to Polesia (3:3, 3:4 on penalties) and Vorskla (0:0, 4:5 on penalties) in the penalty shootout.
Levadia suffered the third defeat in the tournament and took the last place. Earlier, the Estonian team lost to Vorskla (2:3) and Polesie (0:0, 4:5 on pen.).
Tomorrow, February 18, Winter Cup-2023 will end with the match between Polesie and Vorskla. The beginning is at 18:30 Kyiv time.
