Qatar goes further: launches an exorbitant offer to buy Manchester United

Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, son of the former Prime Minister of the Arab nation, was the first to formalize his proposal to acquire all the shares of the English club.

Through a statement, they made the proposal to the Glazers manager. “Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani today confirmed that he has made an offer for 100% of Manchester United Football Club,” he said. “The offer plans to restore the club to its former glory on and off the pitch, and – most importantly – will seek to put supporters back at the heart of Manchester United Football Club,” the statement added.

Moreover, he also explains that it will come from a foundation headed by the Sheikh of Qatar: “The offer will be completely debt-free from the Sheikh Jassim ‘Nine Two Foundation’, which will seek to invest in the football team, training centre, stadium and larger infrastructure, the fan experience and the communities the club supports.

a few days ago it was speculated that Twitter mogul Elon Musk was considering an offer to stay with United. As raised by Sky Sports, he was ready to offer £4.5 billion (about US$5.4 billion). Until the closing of this note, there was no news about it.
