At the same time, both boxers are ready for a face-to-face confrontation
Egis KlimasWBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion manager Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), spoke about the problems with agreeing a contract for a duel with the WBC champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs).
“If you put Usyk and Fury in the same room, then you can agree in five minutes. But there are many people around who are trying to grab various deals. 50/50 is a fair distribution of the fee.”
“75 to 25 in favor of Usyk? I’m not greedy, so I would say 60 to 40 in favor of Alexander.
“But people around are trying to grab onto different deals, which is why you see all this nonsense. As for the fighters, they both want to fight. Fury is a fighter. You can’t say that a fighter is afraid, ”
Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krasyuk said he was optimistic about the imminent signing of a contract for a unification fight. At the same time, the Ukrainian side insists on the distribution of income “50:50”, given that Usyk owns three championship titles, and Tyson – one.
Fury and Usyk plan to hold a face-to-face fight for the title of absolute world champion on April 29 in London at Wembley Stadium. Fury’s promoters are urging the Ukrainian to fight in London, as the stadium in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) does not have time to build by the date of the fight.
