The court extended the precautionary measures against the head and general secretary of the UAF
Pechersky District Court of Kyiv extended precautionary measures against the president of the Ukrainian Football Association Andrey Pavelko and Secretary General of the UAF Yuri Zapisotsky.
According to journalist Konstantin Andriyuk, Pavelko and Zapisotsky are forbidden to leave the territory of Ukraine until April 20, 2023. Recall that on April 5, the UEFA Congress will be held, at which Pavelko can be re-elected to the Executive Committee of the organization.
Earlier, the Kiev Pechersk Court suspended Pavelko and Zapisotsky from their positions in the UAF until March 17, 2023. However, the functionaries filed appeals and continue to perform their official duties until the end of the appeal hearing.
Pavelko and Zapisotsky are defendants in a criminal case and received suspicions in a corruption case. Recently, large-scale searches by SBU officers took place in the House of Football.
The UAF considers the entire process to be commissioned work from the former leaders of the association. At the same time, on October 18, a search was carried out in the house of the president of the organization. Pavelko denied conducting searches in his own house, but stressed that behind-the-scenes games “with a Russian trace” are being waged, the purpose of which is to remove the current leadership of the Association.
In 2018, the Schemes program conducted an investigation, as a result of which journalists suspected the UAF and its president Andriy Pavelko of corruption through a factory for the production of artificial fields.
