The head coach “Milan” Stefano Pioli won the Panchina d’Oro award at the end of last season. This is an annual award given to the best coach in the Italian league based on a vote among the coaches.
Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti and former Salernitana manager Davide Nicola were also nominated for the award.
“I want to share this award with all the special people who work with us, with the management and, above all, with the players, who are the most important part of all this work,” Pioli said.
Milan were Serie A champions last season, 11 years after their last triumph.
