Several new clubs are already qualifying for the 2023/24 season
President of the Professional Football League Alexander Kadenko spoke about the preparation of the teams for the spring part of the season, as well as about potential newcomers to the next championship.
“At present, everyone is preparing for the resumption of the season. There are no refusers. Of course, there are clubs that are experiencing difficulties, but we hope they will overcome them.
“We have switched to the “online” mode, so now club managers do not have to go to the capital to apply for their teams. To some clubs, I will not hide, we go forward if they ask to postpone the application for a day or two. It’s not a problem”.
“Regarding potential newcomers, the Left Bank, Podillia, Agribusiness, Victoria, and some amateur teams are already undergoing certification. I’m not yet ready to say how many teams will show up for the 2023/24 season, but I believe that there will be much more of them than today.”
The PFL organized an open Winter Cup. Seven teams take part in the competition – five members of the PFL and two amateur clubs.
The spring part of the season in the First and Second Leagues starts in April. The base date for the resumption of fights is April 8.
