In fact, he was suspended from activity
Chapter UAF Andrey Pavelko withdrew his appeal against the decision Pechersky court, who had previously decided to release him and UAF Secretary General Yuri Zapisotsky from their positions.
In fact, Pavelko has been removed from his post – today the 5-day deadline for filing an appeal and the entry into force of the court decision expires. At the same time, Pavelko filed an appeal on the day the verdict was announced.
However, according to lawyers, the deadline for filing an appeal may be extended until February 27 due to the receipt of the full text of the judge’s decision on February 22. At the same time, according to the decree, from February 23 to February 27, Pavelko cannot hold the post of head of the Ukrainian Football Association.
Recently, large-scale searches by SBU officers took place in the House of Football. In turn, the UAF supports Pavelko. The organization believes that the situation around Pavelko leads to the only goal – to deprive Ukraine of a place in the UEFA Executive Committee, where the head of the UAF should be re-elected.
Initially, the Kiev Pechersk Court appointed the head of the UAF a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for two months, until January 22, 2023. However, Pavelko had the opportunity to make a bail, which was used by the UAF, paying about 10 million hryvnias.
Pavelko, together with Zapisotsky, is a defendant in a criminal case and received suspicions in a corruption case. The Moscow Court imposed a similar measure of restraint on Zapisotsky.
The UAF considers the entire process to be commissioned work from the former leaders of the association. At the same time, on October 18, a search was carried out in the house of the president of the organization. Pavelko denied conducting searches in his own house, but stressed that behind-the-scenes games “with a Russian trace” were being waged, the purpose of which was to remove the current leadership of the Association.
In 2018, the Schemes program conducted an investigation, as a result of which journalists suspected the UAF and its president Andriy Pavelko of corruption through a factory for the production of artificial fields.
