The eminent British journalist Piers Morgan, author of a controversial interview with Cristiano Ronaldo after which Manchester United terminated the contract with the Portuguese striker, responded to numerous messages on the network with words of gratitude addressed to him for having contributed to the departure of the star footballer from the club.
– I remind all United fans who thanked me for ‘kicking Ronaldo out of the club’, that in the last ten years you haven’t won a single championship and not a single Champions League. During the same period, Ronaldo won four championships, four Champions Leagues, one European Championship and four Ballons d’Or. Calm down,” Morgan wrote on social media.
Over the past ten years, Manchester United have won six trophies: the FA Championship (2012/13 season), the FA Cup (2015/16), two FA Super Cups (in 2013/14 and 2016/17), the League English Cup (2016/17) and the Europa League (2016/17).
