International Football Federation (FIFA) next season may again allow foreign players to suspend their contracts with Russian clubs, reports RB Sport.
According to the source, this option is most likely when it comes to Russian Premier League (RPL) Tinkoff clubs. The contract suspension scenario will be retained not only for the next six months, but for the entire 2022/2023 season.
Earlier, FIFA allowed Legionnaires to suspend deals with Russian clubs due to the situation in Ukraine and sign new contracts with foreign teams until June 30. This right has been used by a large group of foreign players who have played in the RPL.
