The Argentine is unhappy with playing time in England and may leave the Citizens in the summer
Barcelona interested in Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez.
The Argentine moved to the City in the summer of 2022. The striker is dissatisfied with the game time he gets – Man City head coach Pep Guardiola relies on Erling Haaland, while Alvarez appeared in the starting lineup only six times in the Premier League. The Argentine may try to leave the team in the next transfer window.
Barcelona are interested in strengthening the offensive line, but have difficulties with financial fair play. The Blue Garnet are ready to consider the possibility of renting a forward.
Alvarez, 23, has made 30 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions this season. The striker has 10 goals and two assists.
Barcelona leads the Liga with 59 points. Xavi’s next match will be against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals on March 2.
