The current ceremony is the seventh since the foundation of the award in 2016. Last year the event was held online due to the pandemic, this year the organizers returned to their usual format.
This time the winners will be determined in seven individual categories: the best player and female player of the year, the best goalkeeper of the year in men’s and women’s football, the best coach of the year in men’s and women’s football, the best goal of the year. There will also be awards for Fans of the Year, a Fair Play Award, and the Men’s and Women’s Team of the Year.
