Former striker “Barcelona” Bojan Krkic spoke about the psychological burden that weighed on him when he was a club player. At 17, the Spaniard of Serbian origin was already playing in the main team of the Catalans.
“I experienced firsthand what Ansu Fati goes through. You stop being a person and become a product. At 17, I was called the new Messi and I didn’t know how to live up to those expectations. In many such situations, it’s hard to deal with yourself, you have to learn to distance yourself from those labels and know your limits. And it’s natural to accept it, but at 17, I had no idea,” said Krkic.
Krkic has scored 41 goals and 19 assists in 163 games for Barcelona.
