“I was able to achieve my dream after a long search and struggle. It’s a dream for any player, very few people can achieve it, and I was able to achieve it.
I want to thank my family and the people of Argentina for this special month, which will remain in our memory for life,” Messi said at the FIFA ceremony.
Earlier, Messi became world champion for the first time in his career. At the 2022 World Cup, Argentina beat France in the final on penalties.
