Lionel wins FIFA World Player of the Year 2022
Striker for PSG and Argentina Lionel Messi commented on his award best football player 2022 according to FIFA Football Awards.
“It is a great honor for me to be at this gala concert and win. You can’t be more nervous than I am right now. I want to mention Benzema and Mbappe, who had a great year. I want to thank my teammates, Scaloni and Dybala, who are here today. There is also a part of their merit for what we have done in Qatar.”
“This year has been crazy for me, I was able to fulfill my dream after many years of struggling, searching, and enduring so many trials. This is the dream of any player, and very few can achieve it. Recall that Messi was recognized as the best football player of 2022 according to the FIFA Football Awards. The Argentine won PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe and 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema in the voting.
Messi wins the FIFA trophy for the second time. Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Robert Lewandowski of Poland have won the award twice before.
Messi won the World Cup last season with Argentina. Lionel received the award of the best player of the tournament. Also, the striker entered the symbolic team of last year according to FIFA.
