Babich’s last club in Ukraine was Kryvbas
Ukrainian coach Alexander Babich commented on his work Bulgarian club Fratria.
“So far there is nothing to talk about. At the moment, I’m just helping the team as a coach-adviser.”
“Fratria is a young club, it is literally one year old. The team is made up of young guys who left Ukraine – from Kyiv, Odessa, Nikolaev, Kramatorsk. These are mainly players from the U-17 and U-18 teams. There is a children’s football school here, local guys also play in this team. Basically, those who did not pass the selection in the academies of the clubs Spartak (Varna) and Cherno More.
“Now Fratria is playing at the level of the amateur championship, but next season she plans to enter the third league of the Bulgarian championship. This is an analogue of the Ukrainian Second League. The goal for the club is to reach a professional level and gradually rise from league to league.”
“The owner is Russian businessman Viktor Bakurevich. He left Russia in 2008. He takes the right position in relation to Ukraine, supports our country.”
“Bakurevich supports young guys who left Ukraine. Many of our young football players play in the team. In addition, Bakurevich is engaged in volunteer activities in support of our country, which he openly declares in all interviews.”
Earlier there was information that Babić could replace Patrick van Leeuwen as Zorya’s head coach. In Ukraine, Babich is known for his work with Mariupol and Kryvbas. He left the club from Krivoy Rog last year.
