Acting head coach national team of Ukraine appointed current mentor of the youth team and Alexandria Ruslan Rotan.
The agreement with Rotan will be valid until the entry into force of the contract with Sergei Rebrov, with whom the administration of the UAF conducts negotiations on behalf of the executive committee.
The Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association agreed with the proposal of the Committee of National Teams of the UAF to negotiate with Rebrov on the appointment of him as the head coach of the national team of Ukraine with the conclusion of a contract until July 30, 2024 with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement until July 30, 2026.
Recall that the UAF did not renew the contract with the previous coach Alexander Petrakov. In January, Petrakov led the Armenian national team.
The Ukrainian national team will start its training camp on March 19. The Blue-Yellows will be based in London.
The Ukrainian national team will play in Group C against Italy, England, North Macedonia and Malta in the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament. On March 26, Ukraine will play the opening match of the Euro 2024 qualifier against England. All matches of the blue-yellows will be broadcast on ICTV channel as part of the all-Ukrainian telethon “United News”.
