Roger Guedes, who currently defends the colors of Corinthians, opened the game about the controversial hazing he suffered at the time he played for Palmeiras
Roger Guedes was sincere when talking about the controversial hazing he faced during his passage through palm trees. The episode took place in 2017, when the striker would turn 21 years old. At the opportunity, players like Felipe Melo and other top players in the squad took the opportunity to joke with the athlete, but the situation ended up getting out of control.
Even if it was just a prank, during the video that went viral on social networks, it is possible to see Roger Guedes angry and trying to attack his teammates. Palmeiras players at the time also did the same and, as they were in the majority, managed to tie him up, kick him and also threw egg and flour at the athlete. In an interview with “Podpah”, the current number 10 of Corinthians spoke about the controversy.
“THOSE WHO BEAT ME I KNOW UNTIL TODAY, I WANT THEM TO FUCK THEM…
BUT I’M NOT
RANCOROUS NO.”– Roger Guedes, on “hazing” at Palmeiras

“Eduardo Batista, the day before the game, put me on the bench and didn’t even speak to me. I was one of the best on the team, and he wouldn’t even talk to me. You don’t owe me any satisfaction, but I didn’t like it. He was young. I called my manager (Paulo Pitombeira) and said: I’m leaving, I’m not going to stay on the bench, no. If you need me, I won’t be ready. I spoke to some on the day. I went to Eduardo’s, I said I didn’t like his attitude“, he began to explain.
According to Roger Guedes, he is partly to blame for what happened: “At the game and the other day I showed up for training. I was stupid too at the time. The players in the locker room said that he had to go through the hallway. I wanted to be a little rebel and all that happened […] They wanted to break eggs, flour… I ended up hitting some with my elbow, that’s when they appealed. They hit hard. Then I wanted to kill everyone in the locker room“.
Even so, Roger Guedes made it clear that he does not hold any grudge against his former teammates for the episode that took place six seasons ago. Even so, he hinted that he did not like what was done to him during that day: “The ones who hit I know to this day, I want them to fuck off…, but I’m not spiteful“.
