Shane Fury: Ruiz is a good option for Tyson if Usyk fight doesn’t happen

The parties have yet to agree on a unification bout.

Shane Furybrother of the WBC world champion Tyson Furysaid that the “Gypsy King” can fight with Andy Ruizif it is not possible to agree on a duel with the holder of the WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO titles Oleksandr Usyk.

“If the undisputed fight doesn’t happen, Tyson still needs to fight. I think Andy Ruiz is a good opponent, with a good reputation and in good shape. The fans would love to see this fight,” Shane said.

Fury and Usyk plan to hold a face-to-face fight for the title of absolute world champion on April 29 in London at Wembley Stadium. The promoter of the Ukrainian Oleksandr Krasyuk said that the deadline for negotiations with the Fury team would be March 4.

The Ukrainian side insists on an equal distribution of the fee for the fight, while the British team wants to get most of the prize money. The British father, John Fury, is sure that the distribution of the fee should be 60/40 in favor of Tyson. Fury’s promoter Frank Warren expects the fight to be decided by the end of the first week of March.

Andy Ruiz is due to fight ex-world champion Deontay Wilder this spring. Deontay’s trainer Malik Scott believes that the fight will be held, despite the differences between the parties.
