Former defender of the Russian national team Denis Kolodin told that the MIR RPL teams should impose competition on Zenit, as there are no top legionnaires in the Saint Petersburg squad.
In the current RPL season, Zenit, after 17 rounds, takes first place in the table. Second-placed Spartak Moscow are six points behind the leaders. Over the past four seasons, the St. Petersburg team has become the champion of Russia.
– In any championship, any team has competitors. The main thing is how they handle the pressure. Barcelona and Real Madrid aren’t always first either. It’s not a fact that the Brazilians (of Zenit) are stronger. You just need to change your mind and understand that Russian players are not weaker than these Brazilians.
