Each phone has the player’s name and jersey number on it. iDesign Gold was the company responsible for customizing the gold iPhone.
Lionel Messi contacted us a few months ago after the World Cup final. He said he wanted to give all the players and staff a gift to celebrate the incredible win, but didn’t want the usual gift of a watch. I offered gold iPhones with their names and he liked the idea,” said Ben Lyons, CEO of IDesign Gold, as quoted by British newspaper The Sun.
