FIFA ordered the Israeli club to pay compensation to the Dutchman for the early termination of the contract
According to the decision of FIFA Maccabi Tel Aviv must pay former head coach Patrick van Leeuwen 517,457 euros for early termination of the contract.
According to sport5, in October 2021, the Israeli club fired the Dutch specialist, but refused to pay him compensation for this.
The coach filed a lawsuit after the parties could not agree on a compromise solution. Maccabi is preparing to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
