The active part of the fans of the Poltava team recorded a video message to the leadership of Vorskla from the front.

Vorskla fans do not want to see players in the team who have previously been in contact with the Russian Federation. The fans expressed this in their video message to the leadership of the Poltava club.

It separately mentions two football players who played in Russia and the territories occupied after 2014.

“We, the fighters of the separate group “Centuria Poltava” and the active fist of the Poltava fan movement Vorskla, express our dissatisfaction with the actions of the club and the selection department of our club. The fact is the club signed two players : Andryushka Kravchuk, who already during the Russian-Ukrainian war was able to play for Moscow Torpedo, and Ivanka Ponomarenko, who was also able to play for the authorities occupying the Crimean championship.

We express our displeasure with these players. We will not let these people bring down the colors of our club, let these people wear our emblem. I personally appeal to Alexander Funderat, the sports director of Poltava Vorskla. Alexander Anatolyevich, do your job with dignity! We will not allow you to take down our colors and our emblem. I have the honor. Glory to Ukraine!” the appeal read.

Note that the 23-year-old defender Andrei Kravchuk actually played for Torpedo Moscow from 2021 to 2022. However, after the start of a massive war, he left the Russian club and went to England, where he was helped by Alexander Zinchenko to find a temporary job.

In turn, the team’s 24-year-old goalkeeper, Ivan Ponomarenko, played in occupied Crimea for Krymteplitsa-2 and Uyutnoe in 2019.
