American mixed martial artist John Jones won ahead of time French Cyril Ghana in a title fight UFC heavyweight champion.
The fight took place in Las Vegas as part of the UFC 285 tournament. Jones won in the first round, masterfully holding a choke. Jones became the new UFC heavyweight champion in his first fight in three years.
Recall that Jones was a two-time UFC light heavyweight champion, and the youngest champion in the history of the organization.
Cameroonian Francis Ngannou vacated the UFC World Heavyweight Championship in January. Francis terminated the contract with the fighting company, refused to further defend the belt and became a free agent.
