Ingulets head coach Sergey Kovalets commented victory of his team over Dynamo (2:0) in the match of the 16th round of the UPL.
“The game left good emotions. We played against a team that is a giant of Ukrainian and European football. We all understand that we can play thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To win in such a match, of course, is nice. We made a gift to our President Alexander Grigoryevich, who will have a birthday on the 6th. As soon as he thanked the team, he said it was a good gift.”
“The game was intense, both teams did a lot of running work. Perhaps not everything was successful in terms of the quality of the game, but for us now the result is most important, and we have achieved it.
“Dynamo has always been and will be Dynamo. This club is known all over the world. Every team has both good times and not so good times. This is a team that represents our country in the European arena and has played many charity matches. Our victory today can only seem easy. In fact, Dynamo played well. But we defended well and went on the attack.”
Note that this was the first official match of Kovalets at the head of Ingulets.
Ingulets moved up to 11th place in the UPL standings with 16 points. In the next match on March 11, the team of Kovalets will host Metalist.
