The decisive match of the World Cup qualification will be held tomorrow in Cardiff
Defender of the national team of Ukraine Ilya Zabarny spoke about the preparations for the decisive match of the World Cup qualification with Wales.
Alexander Petrakov’s team took on the Welsh thanks to a 3-1 victory over Scotland on Wednesday.
“To be honest, it was very difficult to enter the field. We went out for our guys, our country, for every Ukrainian. They only came out to win. We wanted to give all our strength and defeat Scotland,” Zabarny said.
“But this is just the first step. We have enough time to recover. Four days is very good, everyone will be able to rest and come out 100% ready.”
“Personally, the first thing I think about is winning the match. Don’t look that far, don’t know what’s next. I want the war to end in my country, and most of all I think about it.”
The match between Wales and Ukraine will take place on Sunday, June 5. The beginning is at 19:00 Kyiv time.
Tomorrow’s match will be judged by Spaniard Antonio Miguel Mateu Laos. 100 additional tickets for the match will be allocated for Ukrainian refugees.
