The youth team of Ukraine will play the final matches of the selection of Euro 2023
Midfielder youth team of Ukraine Georgy Sudakov spoke about the preparation of the team for the upcoming qualifying matches for the European Championship 2023. The midfielder hopes that the blue-yellows will be able to win three fights and directly enter the continental championship.
“We have a very atmospheric team, a very good team, so there is a very good mood for any game and any opponent. We are preparing for everyone. It doesn’t matter – France, the Faroe Islands, North Macedonia – we are preparing to the maximum for everyone. We want only one thing – to win, ”Sudakov said.
“Now there is additional motivation, because we are not playing for ourselves, but for the country, for the people who are now in Ukraine. We want to please the country, and we need results. When we win matches, we give a smile and some happiness to our fans and people in Ukraine.”
“We took second place, but we want to take first place. We hope that we will succeed. Of the second places, only one team can qualify for the Euro, so we have three games left. We hope to win all three.”
The next match in the selection for Euro 2023 Ukraine U-21 will play on June 5 against their peers from North Macedonia. The fight will take place in Istanbul. On June 9, the team of Ruslan Rotan will meet with France, on the 12th – with Armenia.
After seven games played, Ukraine U-21 is in second place in Group H, six points behind France.
The winners of the qualifying groups, the best team among the second-place winners, as well as the four winners of the play-off, which will play eight other teams that have taken second positions, will advance to the European Championship.
