The playoffs of the hockey championship of Ukraine starts on March 12
Sports Director of the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine Yuri Kirichenko reported that FHU applied to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for permission partially allow spectators to the stands during matches.
“Today, in an ordinary shopping and entertainment center there are more people at the same time than our sports facilities can accommodate. We have been living in a war for a year now. The country has not only survived, but is also trying to breathe deeply. People are constantly under stress, under the influence of news, most of which is far from positive. Therefore, the return of fans to the stands is the way to normalize the life of society, a source of positive emotions.”
“In February, we wrote to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine with a corresponding request. Shelters are located next to each sports facility. Our proposal is to allow, in agreement with the local military-civilian administration, the admission of spectators to matches in the number that the shelter can accommodate.
“In parallel with us, similar requests were made by representatives of federations in other sports. We hope that the Ministry will take into account all the pros and cons and dare to take such a step.”
Recall that Kremenchuk became the winner of the regular hockey championship of Ukraine.
Dnepr took second place in the regular season and will face Sokol in the playoff semi-finals. A series of up to three victories will begin on March 12 and 13 at the site of Kherson.
The Legion finished the championship in fourth place and will play with Kremenchuk in the playoffs. The first fights will be held on March 13 and 14.
