Fury: Negotiating the fight with Usyk causes me a lot of stress. Let lawyers and promoters do it

Tyson is disappointed with the progress of the negotiations on the organization of the unification fight

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury said that no longer personally involved in the negotiations on the organization of the unification battle with WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk.

“I no longer participate in negotiations. They cause me a lot of stress and anxiety. So it’s better for me to be out of the process. What I have learned in boxing never happens the way I want it to. I am for a fair distribution of funds. I like something – I immediately agree. And these guys like to drag out negotiations for months, even years.”

“That’s why I don’t do this shit anymore. I gave this job to lawyers and promoters who I pay millions of dollars. Let them do it.”

Fury and Usyk plan to hold a face-to-face fight for the title of absolute world champion on April 29 in London at Wembley Stadium. At the same time, promoter Eddie Hearn believes that the fight will still be held in Saudi Arabia.

Promoter Frank Warren has said that if negotiations for a unification bout between Usyk and Fury are not finalized soon, he will explore other options for his client. The British father, John Fury, is sure that the distribution of the fee should be 60/40 in favor of Tyson, but the Ukrainian side wants 50/50.
