Ukrainian tennis player will soon outline her goals
French tennis player Gael Monfils spoke about the training of his wife, the former first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina.
“Obviously, Elina is very motivated to come back. Actually it was crazy because she had just given birth and was obviously very happy. But she really wants to get back in good shape very quickly.”
“Elina wanted to feel like she could play again. She was worried because she hadn’t played in a long time. She raised her racket well, it was great.”
“Now Elina is engaged, she likes it. She starts to move a little more because at first she couldn’t move that much. But now it’s better and I think Elina has some goals. I think she will soon say what she wants to do and when she wants to come back.”
In December, Svitolina resumed training. Note that in October, Elina and Gael had a daughter, Sky.
Svitolina suspended performances at the end of March, preparing for the birth of her daughter. The Ukrainian lost the title of the first racket of the country during her vacation. Now Elina is ranked 875th in the WTA rankings.
