Christophe Galtier, coach of PSG, regretted the elimination of his team to Bayern Munich in the Champions League
Paris Saint-Germain were eliminated by Bayern Munich in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League after losing both matches. Needing a victory by two goals apart to reverse the setback suffered in Paris, the French team ended up being surprised by the Germans, who built a great victory, by 2-0, thanks to the goals scored by Choupo-Moting and Gnabry.
“We didn’t know how to score in our highlights. We had a very good first half, where we created situations. We competed but we didn’t make the situations very close to the opponent’s goal. In the second half we conceded this stupid goal, at this level we have to be more lucid, we were under pressure and we shouldn’t be ashamed of playing a lot”, said coach Christophe Galtier.
Since the 2016/17 season, PSG have only managed to advance from the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League twice: in 2019/20, when they finished runners-up to Bayern, and in 2020/21, when they were eliminated by Manchester City in the semifinals.

We conceded this goal on a very short ball outing. When you’re behind, it starts to be difficult. If we had opened the scoring, the match would have been different”, concluded the coach.
