Ukrainian took revenge for the recent defeat of Zhu Lin
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko won the first round at the tournament WTA 1000 in Indian Wells (USA).
In 1 hour and 43 minutes, Tsurenko beat the 33rd racket of the world, Zhu Lin from China. Recall that in early February, the Ukrainian lost to Zhu Lin in the WTA finals in Hua Hin.
Tsurenko will play in the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament for the first time since March last year. The next opponent of the Ukrainian will be the 29th seeded Donna Vekic from Croatia. Tennis players played each other a week ago in the first round of the tournament in Monterrey, and then Tsurenko, having won the first set, could not finish the second game due to problems with her elbow.
Recall that Dayana Yastremskaya also made it to the second round of the tournament in Indian Wells, who beat Anna Bondar from Hungary in two sets.
