Karasev told how he woke up in Turkey because of the earthquake

Football referee Sergei Karasev told how he discovered an earthquake in Turkey during winter training camp.

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake occurred on February 6 in southeastern Turkey. The epicenter was the province of Kahramanmarash, aftershocks were then felt in different parts of the country. After that, repeated earthquakes were observed in the region for several days, the total number of deaths continues to grow.

– I woke up in the hotel due to the fact that the bed was shaking. I didn’t even look at the time, I figured where to run. I was later told that it happened around 4:15 in the evening. At first, through a dream, I didn’t understand what was happening, but in 30 seconds nothing ended. The thought immediately arose that it was an earthquake. I thought now they were turning on the siren and there would be an evacuation. I kept in my head where my passport is.

While he was calculating what else to grab and jump, it all quieted down in a minute. I just fell asleep more. In the morning, everyone went out to exercise with the words: “What was that?” Someone didn’t notice at all – they slept like the dead. Although the majority, of course, woke up, – said Karasev “Championship”.

Karasev in the 19th round of the MIR RPL will work for VAR in the Krasnodar-Dynamo match on March 11.
