Russian referee Sergei Karasev regards the prejudice that football referees deliberately make mistakes in matches as a relic of the past.
– It is clear that judges have always been treated negatively: if it is a mistake, it is on purpose. But that’s long gone, relics. Believe me, no normal judge will deliberately make mistakes. These errors are purely human. Nowadays, football is filmed by 100 cameras, there is VAR and everything else. If there are any inaccuracies, then they are ordinary human errors.
When they put an extra referee outside the gate, it looked like there would now be fewer oversights. But the human factor exists, and it is also present in the VAR stand. It happens that the picture was not found or technical points, but people still think that everything is special, – said Karasev to the championship.
Karasev in the 19th round of the MIR RPL will work for VAR in the Krasnodar-Dynamo match on March 11.
