In the Football Federation Iran told Sport24 that the match with the Russian national team will probably take place without spectators.
A friendly match between the national teams of Iran and Russia is scheduled for March 23 in Tehran. The meeting should be hosted by the largest stadium in the country, Azadi (78,116 spectators).
– At the moment we know that the match between the national teams of Russia and Iran will take place without spectators, but there is no official decision yet. Maybe something will change and the game will go with the audience. Let’s say one thing: there are no ticket sales for this friendly match, but maybe in the future something will change,” the Iranian Football Federation press service said.
