Henry makes harsh criticism of the PSG project: “What is the identity?”

Thierry Henry was frustrated with yet another early elimination of PSG in the Champions League and pointed out what he has not liked about the club in recent years

After being eliminated in the round of 16 of the Champions League for the Bayern Munchenthe former striker French national team, Thierry Henry, criticized the way in which the PSG has managed its teams since the purchase of the team by Nasser Al-Khelaifi, aiming to raise the level of the club to one of the powers of European football, but always ending the frustrated plans.

What is the plan? What is the identity? What is the philosophy? I have often said that there is a rift between the club and many former PSG fans. They almost preferred the old PSG.”

Henry took the opportunity to state that some older fans from PSG prefer the club before becoming one of the richest in the world, as the identification with France and Paris was much greater, since they did not have large investments and so the players who played for the club were passionate about the club.

“When you own a club like PSG, you have to identify with the team and sometimes you have to take that community of fans and people who love the club. When we look at the team, what is it? What is PSG? For me, we have to bring back the best young French players. Because most of them are PSG fans. They have the money to bring them back, so why not?”

The discussion came to light after comparing the projects made by the Bayern Munchen and PSG, since the German club has no debts, focuses on spending within its limit and even so is always quoted to be one of the favorites to win the Champions League. Meanwhile, PSG look to spend rivers of money without a plan from behind.
