The leader of the Donetsk team sums up the results of the first meeting in the 1/8 finals of the Europa League.
Shakhtar midfielder Taras Stepanenko commented on the draw with Feyenoord (1:1) in the first match of the 1/8 finals of the Europa League.
According to the Ukrainian player, it is a shame that the team failed to maintain the victory. Despite this, a draw is something to be proud of.
“Of course, if you concede a goal in the last minutes, you always feel a little disappointed. And yes, it reminded me of our game against Real Madrid in the Champions League when they equalized in stoppage time. But overall the result is not that bad. Don’t forget that we played today without some important players.”

“The second leg will be very difficult, but mainly because Feyenoord is a very good team. Not because it will be a game for us. Actually, all our games are away. We feel a lot of support in Poland, that’s obvious, but on the field we always play away,” said Stepanenko.
Note that the return game in the Netherlands will be held on March 16.
