Ukraine did not qualify for the 2022 World Cup
Forward of the national team of Ukraine Roman Yaremchuk commented on the defeat to Wales (0:1) in the play-off final of the 2022 World Cup qualification.
Ukraine lost to the Welsh in Cardiff: the outcome of the confrontation was decided by Andriy Yarmolenko’s own goal in the 34th minute.
“I never thought football could hurt. Time for tears and pipe dreams. We wanted you to smile and cry only with tears of joy. The time that makes you cry in pain, ”wrote Yaremchuk on Instagram.
“But I am proud that I am Ukrainian, because we are an example, an example for everyone. We do not give up, no matter how difficult the situation is. Even for us, young brothers, fate will smile.
Ukraine will play the next match on Wednesday, June 8, when it will play with Ireland in the League of Nations. The kickoff in Dublin is at 21:45.
