Under his leadership, Ukraine took sixth place at EuroBasket 2013
Former head coach of the Ukrainian national team Mike Fratello received the Chuck Daly Basketball Achievement Award.
The award is presented annually by the National Basketball Coaches Association. The awards ceremony took place during Game 2 of the NBA Finals between Golden State and Boston.
In the NBA, Fratello coached Atlanta, Cleveland and Memphis, with a total of 667 wins. In 1986, he was named NBA Coach of the Year.
Fratello coached the Ukrainian national team in 2011-14. Under his leadership, the blue-and-yellows took sixth place at EuroBasket 2013 and advanced to the 2014 World Cup.
