Shakhtar defeated Kryvbas on the road
Head coach Shakhtar Igor Jovicevich recognized as the best coach of the 17th round of the championship of Ukraine according to the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches.
“This is Shakhtar’s fourth victory in a row in the Ukrainian Championship, which allowed the Pitmen to top the standings. We add here the successful promotion of the last representative of our country in the Europa League (victory, draw and defeat, compensated by the penalty shoot-out won). At the start of the spring part of the season, it is the Pitmen who make the biggest impression, having won all three matches in the UPL with a total score of 14:1,” the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches said in a statement.
Recall that the Pitmen, led by a Croatian specialist, beat Kryvbas 3-0 on the road. Sudakov, Kelsey and Shved scored for Shakhtar.
Jovičević’s team topped the Ukrainian Championship standings with 39 points. In the next match, Shakhtar will play the second leg of the 1/8 finals of the Europa League with Feyenoord on March 16.
