club supporters “Athletic” staged a protest against “Barcelona” during the teams’ match as part of the 25th day of the Spanish championship.
The meeting was held in Bilbao and ended with the victory of the guests with a minimum score. As the game progressed, fans in the stands started tossing counterfeit tickets with the inscription “MAFIA$” and with the badge of “Barcelona”.
Last Friday it was announced that prosecutors had filed charges against Barcelona and former club president Josep María Bartomeu in a case involving payments to Jose María Enríquez Negreira, vice-president of the Federation’s Technical Arbitration Commission Royal Spanish Football Association (RFEF). The department’s complaint was filed with the Barcelona Instruction Court. According to the media, the Catalan club paid around 1.4 million euros to a company owned by Negreira from 2016 to 2018. Barcelona face serious sanctions, including expulsion from La Liga and suspension from European competition . The club have denied accusations of bribing referees.
Barcelona continue to lead the current La Liga table.
